What does it mean to be CLEAR certified?

At CLEAR™ Institute, our reputation is built upon our results, and our mission, providing people with scoliosis treatment that is an effective, viable alternative to bracing & surgery is too important to leave to chance. For this reason, we require an exhaustive and comprehensive certification process before a doctor is allowed to call him or herself, “CLEAR™-certified.”

When a doctor takes the CLEAR™ Institute Scoliosis Correction seminar series, we begin by introducing them to the current literature & research on scoliosis and the effects it has upon the lives of those who suffer from it. The gravity and impact of scoliosis is often underestimated, even by health professionals. Much of the reason for this, stems from the fact that for the last 2,000 years medicine has had very little in the way of actual hope and healing to offer scoliosis patients. So unfortunately, not much attention has been devoted to it in the curriculums of medical & chiropractic colleges. Ameliorating this knowledge gap is the first step in creating “Scoliosis Experts.” In order to effectively treat any condition, one must understand the factors at work behind it. The entire course series is taught through the post-graduate curriculum at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas and sponsored for Continuing Education credit nationwide.

Upon completion of the seminar, however, the doctor’s journey towards becoming CLEAR™-certified has only just begun.  A written exam ensures their comprehension of the material, and possessing all of the equipment necessary to implement the CLEAR™ protocols is also a strict requirement.  Once the doctor begins implementing the CLEAR™ protocols in their office, they are required to submit a Case Study to CLEAR™ Institute, including all of the x-rays, notes, & documentation, which is reviewed by several members of the CLEAR™ Institute Board of Advisors to certify that the doctor is following the protocols correctly.  After the Case Study has been reviewed and approved, the applicant is granted permission to take the final certification exam, which is held at the CLEAR™ Scoliosis Treatment and Research Center in Dallas, Texas.  This two-hour, hands-on practical exam follows the doctor through every step of the protocol, from x-ray positioning & set-up to home spinal rehabilitation exercises, and validates their clinical competency to effectively treat & manage cases of scoliosis.

To maintain CLEAR™ certification requires that the doctor maintain active status with CLEAR™ in order to stay current with new exercises & updates to the protocol, and attend at least one hands on workshop every year. We also request that the doctor continue to submit Case Studies, one per year, to ensure they are incorporating & using the new material as well.
